FAQs

Find our frequently asked questions below

1. What schemes and programmes can I apply for?

At Ipsos, we offer a variety of programmes to support any stage of your career, including apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and placement years. These programmes are designed to support you at the start of your career in the field of research.

2. What are the academic requirements for each programme?

We value inclusivity, so we do not have strict academic requirements. For our apprenticeship, graduate, and placement programmes, the requirements are as follows:
  • Graduate Scheme: You must hold a minimum of a university degree. We do not have specific academic requirements beyond this and welcome a variety of backgrounds.
  • Level 4 Apprenticeship: You’ll typically need at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths, along with a relevant Level 3 qualification (such as A-levels or a vocational qualification).
  • Level 6 Apprenticeship: You’ll need a minimum of 2 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above, or a relevant Level 3 qualification.
  • Placement Students: You must be enrolled in a sandwich course, where the placement year is an integral part of your degree programme. This typically applies to students in their penultimate year of university.

3. What is the recruitment process?

Our recruitment process involves the following stages, though it may vary depending on whether you're applying for an apprenticeship, graduate role, or placement year. You can expect a variation of the following:
  1. Two role-specific application questions
  2. Bryq Online Cognitive Assessment
  3. Virtual video interview
  4. In-person assessment centre
  5. Hired

4. Do you provide visa sponsorship?

Unfortunately, due to recent changes in UK Home Office restrictions, we are currently unable to offer visa sponsorship and cannot proceed with applications from candidates who will require visa sponsorship at any point in the future.

5. When do applications open and what start dates are available?

  • Graduate roles: We recruit into 3 main cohorts throughout the year, typically in February, July, and October. Applications usually open 3 months prior to the start date e.g. for a July start, we would post vacancies in April.
  • Apprenticeships: We recruit into 1 main cohort in September, with positions typically advertised from January to March.
  • Placement students: We recruit into 1 main cohort with a July start date, and these positions are typically advertised from February.

6. What support is available throughout the process?

If you require additional support during the recruitment process, we offer reasonable adjustments such as extra time or alternative interview formats for candidates with neurodiversity or other needs. Please let your talent partner know how we can support you.

7. Can I reapply if I'm not successful?

Yes, if you’re not successful, we encourage you to reapply in the future. You’ll be able to apply again for the same or different positions.

8. Do you offer internships or work placements?

We offer both internships and work placements on an ad hoc basis, and they may vary each year. We recommend registering your interest to be notified when vacancies go live.

9. Why do you run a blind recruitment process?

We run a blind recruitment process to allow you to showcase your true passion and potential. Instead of submitting CVs, we ask you to respond to two role-specific questions. Our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) fully anonymises your details, removing any potential for unconscious bias during reviews and ensuring the best candidates are invited to the assessment centre.

Our process is designed to evaluate your passion for your chosen field and how well your values align with ours. We aim to identify candidates with the greatest long-term potential, focusing not only on current experience but also on your ability to grow and thrive with us in the future.

10. Who should I contact about my application?

If you have any questions about your application, please reach out to your talent partner. For any other questions, please reach out to XYZ@Ipsos.com.
